Solar Eclipse at Aldershot Observatory

It was great to meet member of the Society and visitors at the Observatory on October 25th 2022 to share in a partial Solar Eclipse.

The rain held off and the clouds cooperated somewhat, to allow us to watch the Eclipse from start to finish.

Not the most impressive as you can see from the quick montage below, but great fun watching safely through solar glasses, Andrew’s ETX and John’s vintage solar projection rig.

Meanwhile Eric spent nearly two hours showing people the Patrick Alexander Telescope and not sure how much of the Eclipse he saw live!

Big thanks to Eric, JohnP, JohnR, Andrew and Kevin for a successful morning and maybe some new members!
